If any of the Dartcom software reports that it's unable to find a security device licensed for the software, there are several things you can check:
- Check that your Dartcom security device (dongle) is connected to a working USB port on the PC.
- Ensure that you have downloaded and installed the latest security device driver update for your system from our Downloads page.
- Make sure you're not using Windows Remote Desktop (RDP) to access the PC running the Dartcom software. Due to the way RDP works, it isn't possible for the remote session to communicate with the dongle on the host PC. If you need to remotely access the PC running the Dartcom software, you'll need to use another solution, such as VNC, LogMeIn, TeamViewer or AnyDesk. These simply mirror the desktop and don't affect the hardware connected to the PC.
