If any of the Dartcom software reports that it is unable to find a security device licensed for the software, there are several things you can check:
- Check that the Dartcom security device (dongle) is plugged into a working USB port on the PC.
- Ensure that you have downloaded and installed the latest version of the Security device driver for your system from our downloads page at https://www.dartcom.co.uk/support/downloads
- Make sure that you're not using Windows Remote Desktop (RDP) to access the PC running the Dartcom software. Due to the way in which RDP works, it is not possible for the remote session to communicate with the dongle on the host PC. If you need to remotely access the PC running the Dartcom software, you will need to use another solution, such as VNC, LogMeIn, TeamViewer or AnyDesk. These simply mirror the desktop and don't affect the hardware connected to the host PC.
